Although adoptions are up, Good Homes for Dogs relies heavily on their donors. The Berkley Heights rescue had to cancel their two largest fundraisers for the year, Woofstock, which delivers a lot of live music, and their Bow Wow brunch. Good Homes for Dogs has been around for the last 10 years and started out of the living room of eight volunteers from Summit, New Jersey. The rescue saves dogs from Georgia and South Carolina. The locations are specified by locating high populations of unwanted dogs, euthanasia, and need for rescue.
We are a non-profit all volunteer organization making a significant impact on the tragedy of pet overpopulation in the Napa Valley. Several within no more than a few hours. For the cats it is even worse. There are thousands of unwanted, abandoned or lost and unclaimed dogs and cats that will be euthanized.
